The Kalgoorlie workshop assists with the mobilisation of heavy mobile equipment, assisting with demolibising of projects, overhauling of equipment, commissioning of new gear to projects. The workshop also provides maintenance and technical support services to projects in regards to planning and scheduling.

The roles involve

  • January Start
  • Apprentice Auto Electrician, Boilermaker, Diesel Fitter, Light Vehicle Fitter, and HV Electrician
  • Working a 5/2 roster, 10hr shifts
  • As instructed, undertake and attend any training or assessment related to the training plan
  • Work towards achieving the competencies in the training plan
  • Assisting with carrying out general Mechanical work including: repairs, attending breakdown’s and service work in a workshop environment to heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment
  • Program involves years 1 & 2 years of the apprenticeship based in our Kalgoorlie workshop, and years 3 & 4 working FIFO to our mining projects

We are looking for

  • Valid manual drivers licence & own transport
  • Must have accomodation in Kalgoorlie, no camp provided
  • Year 12 Certificate or higher
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to learn and succeed
  • Willingness to commit to and complete a four (4) year apprenticeship
  • Occasional site based work is a requirement of this role after completion of year 1
  • A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath’s motto Consider it done safely.
