About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to join our client’s team in Berrimah. This role involves handling statutory financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. While a CPA qualification is not required, expert Excel skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. You’ll need to be a self-starter who can work independently and contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysis & Reporting: Proactively analyse, interpret, and report financial data, providing insights and identifying risks to key stakeholders.
Fixed Asset Register: Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register, producing reports and forecasts.
Month-End Processes: Prepare accrual journals, reconciliations, and assist with management and external reports.
Tax Reporting: Assist with Payroll Tax, BAS, FBT, and Taxable Payment reporting to the ATO.
Experience & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Expertise in complex financial reporting and Australian Accounting Standards.
Strong ability to work independently with expert-level Excel skills and attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
CPA qualification (desirable)
Experience in heavy industry / civil construction
